A friend
of mine had planned to visit two Temples
in Konkan to present some offerings in
appreciation for his answered prayers and he managed to reserve out a day for fishing and of course I was invited to join him in
his journey 
I called Rohan Narvekar who had been patiently waiting to go fishing with me for the last seven months, now it was his chance to see the Lion in action
he too joined us at the meeting point .
We left Mumbai early but !! on the way
we were frustrated & bored to death !!! 
we had to stop at 7 different Police check-posts , the cops were very rigorously checking
every vehicles as this was the General elections time ,
Angling as a sport is hardly known in India ! So we had to explain to the Cops
, what purpose the rods and reels are used of course !! in such situations the
cell phone pictures of my fishy
activities helps and there is also the name of Jeremy wade to
add from Animal planet !! Now having
convinced them about the fishing rod's usage 
we also had to explain the working of the reel and lures to the curious
Cops and in the end of course the collective price of the Tackle 
We patiently
passed this friendly interrogations for the sake of some Fishy moments 
After the
Religious duties of my friend were
completed on day one. I contacted a local friend and he happily
arranged for our brief stay at his home
and we reached at night 11pm , straightaway crashed to bed as we planned to
fish early next day
The whole day whizzed past so
fast !! as all three of us had a blast
of Fun, Fishing and Food . the local friend had pampered us with Royal Konkani Food = freshly caught Crabs were transformed into
Crab masala and the Live Prawns were so fresh, stubborn and kicking that they
refused to part with their skin , my
host fried them in the local spices till they were brown n crispy like Cashew
nuts and of course our favorite
catch----> Mangrove Jack !! was presented to us in the curry bowl and also in the fried Avatar 
all these were backed
with Rice Bhakri (chapati) , Rice and
washed down with liters of the Soul satisfying, thirst quenching ------> Sol Kadi (a mixture of kokam juice, coconut milk and spices )

feeling hungry and having a hard time to
control that watering mouth

lets talk about the catches ! But today I will not disclose how many fish we
caught nor will I show you the collective picture of the catches that you
always see at the end of my post !

Rohan the
young angler lost a treble hook to an underwater thug 
he will get him some other day

Y-bhav pulled out the first MJ of the trip which landed straight on dining table he also lost a lure to another underwater
thug

And the
ones who messed with my Lure were punished and banished from the water world and confined to
the icy depths of my icebox
